1. The Lizzie Borden House
The Lizzie Borden House – True Crime STL Diorama is a historical scale recreation of the Borden family property in Fall River, Massachusetts, designed as a complete 3D-printable STL kit.
The campaign brings together the main house, barn, basements, and property grounds, along with fences, the covered well, grape arbor, and other characteristic exterior features, creating a complete and recognizable diorama for modelers, collectors, true crime enthusiasts, and RPG players.
The complete setting can also be used as a large 3D tabletop and role-playing game environment, especially for scenarios focused on mystery, investigation, horror, or the late 19th century.
The real Lizzie Borden House is still known for its paranormal reputation. Over the years, visitors have reported voices, footsteps, moving objects, unexplained sensations, and even apparitions. These stories have made the property not only a historic landmark, but also one of America’s best-known paranormal locations.
2. Fall River, 1892
In August 1892, the Borden family property in Fall River, Massachusetts, became the scene of one of the best-known murder cases in American history.
The house, barn, and property grounds became closely associated with the events of the case and remain an essential part of its history.
This project takes that real location and historical context as the starting point for the complete diorama.
3. Historical Reconstruction
The model has been developed using original 1892 photographs, architectural plans, and historical documentation as the primary reference sources.
These materials have made it possible to accurately reproduce the architectural style of the buildings, their proportions, the overall layout of the property, and its main exterior details.
All of this research has been translated into a scale model designed for 3D printing and modular assembly, maintaining a balance between historical accuracy, level of detail, and ease of construction.
The goal has been to recreate the complete property with a level of detail appropriate for a historical scale model, while adapting each element to the requirements of a fully 3D-printable and playable model.
The entire diorama has been specifically designed for FDM 3D printing, using a modular system that makes both printing and assembling the scale model easier.
The result is a complete diorama that combines historical reconstruction, scale modeling, and 3D printing, following the distinctive style of ilustralia miniatures projects.
4. What’s Included
The campaign is organized into three main sections, which can be selected separately or combined to complete the full diorama.
Lizzie Borden House
Includes the main house, divided into its different levels, from the first floor to the roof.
Lizzie Borden Barn
Includes the property’s barn, divided into its different levels.
Lizzie Borden Terrain & Grounds
Includes the property grounds, the house and barn basements, fences, covered well, grape arbor, and other characteristic exterior elements.
Depending on the pledge selected, backers can choose a specific part of the project or the complete diorama.
In addition, all characters unlocked through Stretch Goals will be added to all pledge tiers at no additional cost.
5. Choose Your Bundle
The campaign offers several pledge tiers so each backer can choose the option that best fits their project.
You can choose the Lizzie Borden House, the Lizzie Borden Barn, a combination of both, or the complete diorama with all the main elements of the property.
- The Super Early Bird and Early Bird tiers will be limited in quantity and will offer special launch prices while supplies last.
- All pledges include digital STL files for personal use and access to the optional Add-Ons available during the campaign.
- In addition, all characters unlocked through Stretch Goals will be added to every pledge tier at no additional cost.
6. Stretch Goals
As the campaign reaches new funding milestones, different historical characters connected to the Borden family and the events of 1892 will be unlocked.

The figures will be sculpted by a professional artist, with no use of artificial intelligence, and specifically prepared for resin 3D printing. They will include both pre-supported, tested versions and unsupported versions, providing a reliable and flexible printing experience.
7. Main Features
The complete diorama is made up of 298 modular pieces, designed to simplify printing, assembly, and access to the different parts of the model.
It includes the Lizzie Borden House, the Lizzie Borden Barn, the basements integrated into Terrain & Grounds, the property grounds, and numerous exterior elements.
- Fully removable interiors, allowing the buildings to be assembled with or without the interior wall sections to increase compatibility with different tabletop games and RPGs.
- Modular kit design, created to simplify printing, assembly, and access to the different levels and sections of the model.
- All pieces have been designed specifically for FDM 3D printing, divided for home printers and designed to print without supports.
- Detailed interiors and exteriors, including rooms, staircases, chimneys, roofs, and architectural elements developed as part of a single scale model kit.
- Integrated Terrain & Grounds system, connecting the house, barn, basements, and exterior elements into a single modular diorama.
The scale model kit combines historical detail, modular design, and practical use, making it suitable for dioramas, tabletop games, and RPGs.
8. Printing & Scale Specifications
- The diorama STL files are provided in 28mm (1:56) and 20mm (1:76) scales. You can also print the model at your preferred scale using the included reference table:
- All components are designed for support-free FDM printing, with wall sections intended to be printed horizontally to achieve the highest possible level of surface detail.
- The windows use a press-fit system, with foldable frames that allow transparent acetate to be inserted to simulate glass in a practical way.
- Certain terrain elements are compatible with the OpenLOCK system, expanding integration options with modular tabletop layouts.
- A downloadable PDF is included with a contents list and visual assembly instructions.
- At 28mm scale (1:56), no individual piece exceeds 22 cm. At 20mm scale (1:76), all parts remain under 16.2 cm, allowing them to be printed on most standard desktop 3D printers.
9. Assembly (Video Guides)
Assembling this diorama is much more than putting together the pieces of a three-dimensional puzzle: it is reconstructing a real setting from American criminal history and recreating, in great detail, the Borden family property as it could be seen in 1892.
The project includes a series of assembly video guides, organized around each of the main sections of the diorama.

11. Digital Files Notice
This campaign delivers digital STL files only. No physical models will be shipped.
